Cheap motels, cute babies, and singing in the shower

So I love when I am able to spend time with our family. We always have so much fun. Last weekend, Broc and I headed down to Vegas after I got off work to get a room because we had a homecoming to go to the next day. (and we didn't want to wake up at 6 am)

So we made a mini-night vacation out of it.We got a "ghetto" hotel room

We also went over to his Uncles that night to see his cousin that recently returned home from his mission. After that we went out to eat at the MGM Grand/Rain Forrest Cafe.

The next day after the homecoming we hung out with the family. Broc being the oldest of his cousins, this is what happens where there is 100 little boys around.

I love spending time with Chloe! (Our niece) She is such a bundle of energy and keeps going! At this point she was sleepy but awake. I turned my phone on the front facing camera where she could see her self and we started taking pictures. She loves to stick out her tongue and look at her self! I was cracking up!

And the best yet! Broc singing in the shower. This is too funny!

They say girls marry a man that is like their dad in most ways. Looking at Broc and my dad I didn't see it.
Tonight proved me wrong. When Broc started watching shows about collection "junk" I found my self in awe.

Kentucky is my home

Homesick.

Today made me miss Kentucky. Every time there is sunshine in the sky, my mind goes back to a certain place.

For some reason, when its sunny and nice out side I always think about walking out the high school doors, getting in my beat up car with Courtney, driving and being crazy.

Then I would come home and my mom would be cleaning the house like crazy, the dogs barking, and I would just enjoying being at home.

I loved days like that.

I find it crazy how fast things change. How little things remind us of our past.

Anyways. I was just thinking "out loud" and it kind of made me homesick.

So...when it warms up. I will see you in Kentucky!

Girls Weekend in Vegas!

On Friday, the girl took off to Vegas! It was a load of fun! Lots of stories, good times, and tired feet! But well worth it! Here are a couple pictures from the trip! Enjoy!

The pictures I want to show first are my favorite! In Vegas there is the Stratosphere Hotel. On top of the hotel is a ride called the Big Shot!

We finally got set up in our new house. After two weeks of pictures laying around I feel like I tricked Broc into putting them up. Since he broke a frame I asked him to put the picture in a new one...(then I said while your at it go ahead and hang up the rest of the pictures...after all you did break my frame)

It worked.

Meet Buck. I'm not a big fan of him. In our ward they have a ward missionary project called "Pass the Buck" So we got him the other night and now need to get rid of him...

This past weekend Broc and I took of to Mesquite, NV for a Saturday morning. We went to a buffet and I was so proud of Broc for picking a fun activity!

We took the long way home and I saw two LDS churches right by each other and thought "Yep, I'm in Utah!"

Thats really about it for now! I have started my new job working at Red Cliffs Regional which is a nursing home and rehab center. I am enjoying it! I was supposed to start my first shift alone on Saturday but I got a text asking to work tomorrow...a 12 hour shift! I am super nervous! So wish me luck! I am getting nervous!

Good news!

Good news! I got a job! Im super excited. I start tomorrow.
So on Friday I am cleaning up the house and the phone rings...its not a number I know so I figure its about a job...
"Hello" I answered
They told me who it was and where they were from...
I got nervous and then she started talking
She said "I just wanted to let you know..."
And by the point I was like DANG IT!...then she said
"Let you know we have chosen you for the position!"
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! The lord has answered my prayers. I am so thankful for all he does.
I know without him Broc or I wouldnt be where we are.

Give me a break!

What a day this has been. As most of you know I have been looking for a job. In the past two days I have had three intervews. Not bad?
The first one was at a hotel. I knew they were not hiring right away so I didnt think much of it.
The second one was a toddler program and it went good. I liked how everything sounded and it would only be part time until May which isnt bad.
The third one was at a nursing home. I really wanted this one because the pay is great, the hours are not to bad, and I like it.

Well where do I start. At an interview you try to look your best...because that first impression is everything! I get into the nursing home at 10...and the lady says its not until 10:30...so I make a little joke and say "well, I guess I will see you at 10:30 then."

So in the mean time I run to the gas station to get Broc a snack. I get up to the register and open my wallet...and what is laying there?...
A tampon! I knew my purse was a mess but...my goodness!
So that was it!
I was just totally in a bad mood but I tried to brush it off.
I go back to the interview and it went okay. I hate the questions...where you end up answering like an idiot.
Then I come home and take a nap and when I wake up our accountant calls and says there is a problem with my social security and needs to know how its printed on my card...and I usually keep it in ONE spot. I have no moved it in 8 months! The one time I go to get it...I cant find it!
Give me a break!!!



But...a few minutes later...the man upstairs decided to help me out!
All I wanted was a smooth sailing interview...and I got a rough one. But thats okay...he never said it would be easy!
