Baby Maya 25 weeks

Well, over half way there! I was telling Broc that next time I go into my doctor I will be in my third trimester! That's just crazy! Then again I will still have 12 weeks but it's the home stretch. The second trimester is so good. You're over all pretty happy! I still don't feel pregnant most of the time. I am getting kicked the majority of the day, but still don't feel as I look the part! Yesterday I was wearing just a tee shirt and you seriously couldn't even see my belly! I promise I'm not just fat! I won't say how much weight I've gained, but it's less than 20 and more than 12 pounds. So there! I really do need to start eating better and working out. I'm just the laziest person on planet earth. I figure I will do all that post baby... Right?
Well, I still crave Mountain Dew basically 24/7 which makes me nervous... Here is why.
Brocs mom craved Mountain Dew with her last kid, Skye. He is the only one that is "red headed" although it is very light and more strawberry... She still craved it and we now tease him for his hair . Oh and he was a summer baby just like Lexi.. And Maya! Karma got is back though and gave us a red headed child. So I'm curious if the Mountain Dew plus the Jenkins jeans causes red hair!
Highly doubt it, but it's a fun thought.
There is some red on my side though.
Lately I've NEEDED to have something sweet in my house. Last week I bought a pack of Oreos... Well those are gone.
Candy? Gone
And it hard to keep it in the house because Broc has been working out and trying to eat better, so I've been trying to do it with him but I can't control my self!
I do use pregnancy as an excuse way to much, but why not right?

Lexi Mae 18 Months

Since there is no February 30, today is as good as any to post an update about my little lady. At the end (or start) of the Month, she will be a year and a half old! 18 months! She will be closer to two years old than one! She is growing up!
Lexi sure has changed in the last few months. Looking back it's hard to even remember what she was like at a year! She has been walking for over 6 months!
Lexi Loves:
Every time we walk in the door she bolts out of my arms and says "Tito!" and runs to play with him while he attacks her with kisses.
She also knows the first thing we do in the morning is let Tito out to go potty. She still insist on going out on the patio with him even though I tell her its freezing cold. She usually runs back inside.
She knows right after that it's time to give him his treat. She hardly sticks it in her mouth anymore. She knows to throw it on the ground and he will go get it.
-Morning Cartoons
Usually when Lexi wakes up Broc is still getting ready for work and I am buried under the covers. She ends up on our bed and begs for me to turn the TV on. I usually (always) do this just to get more sleep. She watches one show and then we go down stairs and play, eat, and sometimes more cartoons. Her favorite is Dora and Bubble Guppies. She has started to actually have the attention span for a movie. She will watch, play, watch, and play. She is started to like Mickey Mouse too.
If I go to a store, I can not take her near jewelry with out her throwing a fit or me buying her a necklace. She loves them. She will play with her necklaces and bracelets all day. No joke. She will take her babies out of her stroller and push her jewelry around. She knows they make her feel pretty. She doesn't like to share these. It's kind of cute though. She sat through most of Sacerment meeting (for like the first time ever) and just played with them. I have no problem taking them each week! Every time we go to Grandma's house she runs back to grandma's room and yells "mamamamama" until someone gets her a necklaces off Broc's moms wall.
Lexi usually gets a bath every day because she loves it! If you say the word bath you better be prepared to give her one. She usually gets one in the morning. When I say, "Lexi do you want to take a bath?"
She will drop everything (even the necklaces) and run to the bathtub. She has just now started to try and take off her clothes. She loves to watch the water run and play in it. She likes to lay on her tummy and drink the water. (Ew)
We are getting better at brushing her teeth after her bath, but no one is perfect. She just isn't a fan.
This kid has a major shoe obsession. She has about 4 pair of shoes.
Tennis Shoes, sandals, and 2 pair of church shoes.
She loves getting her shoes on when we are ready to leave. She will dig through the shoe basket by the door and find her shoes. Anytime you want to try new shoes on her, she is okay with that. She rips her current shoes off and yells mom until you put the new ones on. If she finds her shoes in her room while she is playing she begs you to put them on her. She has recently started to wear our shoes around the house. It's adorable, but they are getting scattered everywhere.
We also have a shoe rack in our closet and she is constantly messing that up... Oh well. It's adorable.

Some of Lexi's favorite things to do at the moment :
-Being outside
-Play with Chloe and Madden

-Push strollers/Ride
-Playing with Grandma and Grandpa
-Play with daddy
-Play with fridge magnets
-Going to the park

This kid loves to eat. I am so thankful that she is a good eater. I don't have to fight her to eat. She loves to eat:
-Mac and Cheese
-String Cheese
-Green beans
-Fruit Snacks
-Cheese It's (her favorite)
M&Ms and Reese Cups
Here is Lexi Lou eating Mac and Cheese for lunch. I threw in a couple M&Ms as a snack because this was her second plate. She loves having a Capri Sun with her lunch.

Lexi is starting to talk so much! Of course not a lot of it is clear, but she is trying to communicate.
We took the binky away this past week. Honestly, it wasn't that hard. I thought it was going to be very hard. I was going to do it one night but I was having major anxiety about it for some reason. I don't think I was ready. It makes her my baby. She loves her binky. So the next day I felt ready. She only had it at sleep time anyway. So I just didn't give it to her. When I put her down for a nap she cried for about 1 minute and then she was out. I made sure to put her down for a later nap so I knew she was tired. Same with bed time. It's been about 1 week and it's been good. We bought her a little stuffed animal for being such a big/good girl about it.
Anyways, I  have noticed more and more talking just in the last week with taking it away.
Here are some of her new and favorite words:
-Sho (Shoe)
-Love you
-Nigh Nigh
-Dora and Bub Gup
-Ba (Bath)
-No (she is starting to answer questions
- Yes (only heard it a few times)
-Meow (anytime she sees a cat)
I can't think of anymore! She blabs and understand what I say really well, but hasn't quite figured out how to say it by her self.

Lexi knows the sounds to the following animals:
-Pig (although she will just smile when you ask her what a pig says because she likes when we make the sound)

She knows where her ears, eyes, nose, belly, and toes are.
Over all, I love my little lady. This has been the best stage ever. I look forward to her talking more and having a conversation with her. She is our world.
Yesterday she stole a drink of my coke and ran up to Broc and I and yelled "YUMMY!"
I was cracking up for at least 5 minutes.
I'm sure I missed a few things, but this was actually a big update!

Here are just some more photos.

Baby Maya 22 weeks

Not that I have the time to be blogging right now, my kid is eating, my house needs picked up, dishes need done, and a thousand other things would be way more productive than this. This is much more fun though.
Maya Rose.
Baby Maya is now at 22 weeks! Growing like a weed. I finally had to stop wearing the skinny jeans and buy some maternity pants... Way more comfortable.
I can't sleep on my stomach any more which is the hardest thing... That and hot tubbing. Last pregnancy I was pregnant through the winter and couldn't hot tub either! I really miss it!
This pregnancy is really easy so far. I haven't been that sick and I have no issues. I'm not sure on my weight gain since I refuse to weigh my self. Especially since my trip to Kentucky. I know all those fried foods and donuts I ate were NOT good. Oh well.  I feel like I am starting to finally look pregnant. Which is good, because no one likes to just look fat! I tried to clip my toe nails yesterday and that was a little hard. I got the job done but next time might call for a trip to the nail salon...
That's my excuse.
With my last pregnancy I craved Moutain Dew and ever since then I have had a major kick for it. I just can't seem to find the caffeine free stuff anywhere! I might have to try amazon as desperate as it sound...
I can't think of any cravings I really have besides Mountain Dew.
At first I was craving a lot of Pasta!
Maya is a very active baby! It's always the best part when you can start feeling them move! Well, for the typical belly shot. Here we go!

Each year Broc's family does a news letter with the whole extended family. So I thought for my recap of the year,
(yes I know its Febuary and NO I don't care)
I would be so creative and copy/paste our section of the letter.
And if that isn't lazy enough, I didn't even rearrange the photos on here in order of the year. Wow that is lazy! So here you go!

It’s time for this again? Where does the year go? We had a great year, and it was such a blessing to watch our first little girl grow up! She learned to sit up, crawl, walk, talk, run, and so much more this last year! Let’s start off with Broc.
Broc is still working for Wilson Electronics. He was really blessed to find such a good job. He loves to travel with his work and all the benefits that come with that. Such as great food and friends. In 2013 he traveled to Las Vegas, Miami, California, Montana, Dallas, Tennessee,  Chicago, and Colorado! To bad we didn’t build up any air miles with all that flying! Broc is now the Machine to Machine(M2M) Business Developer. He is still moving up in his company, and seems to  meet just the right people. Through out the year Broc was looking in to schools to finish out his degree. We are still searching for the right program and wondering how it will be paid for! We know that there will be a way. Broc also plays some sports through out the year. His work has a company softball team. They play in Summer and late fall. Broc didn’t play much in the fall because he seemed to get a new injury every other week. Most of them came from church ball. This year he managed to hurt his right and left knee, both ankles, and we found out that he has a sesamoid bone fracture that has healed but still causes him pain most of the time. So, hopefully this year he doesn’t fall all the way apart on us. In March Broc turned 25! I guess the great thing about this age is that he can rent a car! It comes in handy with work trips. For Broc’s birthday we went to a Jazz game again the Brooklyn Nets. Thanks  Williams family for watching Lexi for us! We love going to the Jazz games.

I (Ashley) spends most of her days chasing a toddler around. At the beginning of 2013, I was working in an assisted living a few hours a week. I enjoyed working there most of the time. It wasn’t hard work. The hardest was being away from Lexi. After working there for about four months, Broc and I both decided that it would be better if I quit and I was okay with that. After all, it was only about 8 hours a week. Most of my year consisted of teaching and raising Lexi. I really enjoy being a stay at home mom and I am so grateful for Broc for working so hard so I am able to do so. Sometimes I still go crazy, but I have learned that Lexi needs me at home. Most of my days consist of Breakfast, Dora the Explorer, shower, Lexi’s bath, lunch, nap time, laundry, dishes, dinner, and bed time. It still amazes me that such a little child can make such a mess! In May, Brittany and her family moved back to St George and we spent most of our summer with them. They moved down right before Mothers day weekend. We celebrated our THRID wedding anniversary with a night away. Well, okay we dropped Lexi off with Ross and Kiera came back to our house with movies and blew up the air mattress in the living room. It was perfect. In June, I turned 22. We went to dinner with the family and then played some games.  Summer was good to us. It was fun to spend the days with Chloe, Madden, and Brittany. We spend a lot of days at the pool and splash pads. In July, Lexi and I headed to my home in Kentucky to spend time with my family. We spent about two weeks there and Lexi was spoiled. She decided to start walking right before our trip. I was thrilled that my parents could see her walking around. We spent our time with family and playing in the kiddie pool. Lexi loved being spoiled. Once we returned from our trip, I was offered a job at my previous job that I had before Lexi. I decided to take it since it was an on call position at The St George Clinic. (Medical Assistant)
Brittany and I had a sweet deal going between trading off on baby sitting. About the time I started work in August, I started watching Madden and Chloe a few times a week. Lexi loves spending time with her cousins. She has really become best friends with them and cries every time we have to leave them. She even knows when we pull up to their house. I have caught her saying Chloe a few times!  At the end of August, we celebrated Lexi’s first birthday! We had a little party at our house and had a blast. Lexi loved getting presents and cake. Over the next few months were were still enjoying the nice weather. In late September, we got a little surprise that were were expecting BABY # 2!
It was a shock! Now that the shock has worn off we are so excited! We found out that we are having another little girl! Maya is due June.10.2014
We are thrilled now of course!  For Halloween, we went Trick or Treating with The Hesch clan. Lexi didn’t really know what was going on, but she loved the attention, her candy, and her tutu that she was able to wear. Lexi was a kitten for Halloween. It was so much fun this year for her, and I know she will enjoy it more next year. For Thanksgiving, we stayed home with Broc’s family and hung out at his parents. Kiera cooked some great food! At the beginning of December, Broc and I took of for a mini vacation and headed to a Utah Jazz game. We spent a snowy cold weekend in Salt Lake. It was a ton of fun! Jazz ended up losing, but it did go into over time so it was a close game! We also spent Christmas with Broc’s family. Christmas was a blast with Lexi! She loves all the things that Santa brought her. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the kids and bought them little four wheelers! We spent most of the chilly morning outside riding them around! Thanks guys! We have to hide it from Lexi so she doesn’t put dents in our wall.

Lexi is learning so much! As of January her favorite things to do include:
-Playing with Madden and Chloe
-Watching Dora The Explorer
-Taking baths
-Playing with Tito
-Eating candy
-Playing outside
-Playing with Grandma and Grandpa
-Sitting on Coco
-Cuddling with mom and dad
Lexi is talking more and more every day. Some of her most used words are:
-Tito, bye, hi, no , Dora, Daddy, Mommy, wow, Papa, and go.
She is slowing putting more words together. Tito and Lexi have become great friends. Each day after her nap he runs up to her room and waits as I open the door. Then he greets her with kisses. Lexi loves giving kisses and blowing them. She is climbing all over the place, loves to wear shoes, necklaces, bracelets, and her cat ear. She knows the sounds of a dog, cat, lion, and cow. I am looking forward to this next year of teaching her more! That pretty much sums up our year! You can check our blog for more frequent up dates!
