Lexi Lou

As I was driving today Lexi was just talking away and using words I have never heard before! I knew I needed to write it down to remember it! It is so cute the way she is talking, playing, and just doing things. She is just over two years old and has grown so much since her birthday. She has added probably around 30 new words! She is liking more movies, more foods, and is understanding things a lot more. Some of my favorite things she says:
Wawa (Lalaloopsy)
Iss you (Miss you)
Mexi Hungry
Cereal
Maddie (Madden)
Chuckie
Daddy car
Truck
Beautiful
Pipney (Brittany)
olor (Color)
Song
Bout bat bass (All about that bass)

LEXI LOVES CHOCOLATE.
She loves Reese cups and thinks she will get one each time we got to the store.
Lexi Lou loves hanging out with her cousins. She has a blast with them.

Lexi really likes to watch shows and eat breakfast. She loves yogurt.
Lexi also likes to hang out with her friend Addi. She was asking about her all day today. We were driving to the store today and saw a car that looks likes Addi's. To Lexi, any car that is white has to be Addi. She then went on to ask if we could go play and if Addi was at home asleep. (One time she was so she always thinks she is now)
 Flowers.
Anytime we walk into Walmart she has to stop and smell the flowers. She loves flowers. She wants to smell them anywhere we go. Flowers is also a favorite word, it is just too cute.
Lexi loves eating popcorn for a snack. I don't blame her though.
Here she is with a flower again.
Lexi is so aware of things. She knows when we turn on Madden and Grandmas street to their house. When we are home she always says, "HOME!" or "Mexi Home!"
When she is doing something she likes and she wants more she always says, "ma more?"
There is one phrase I can not figure out! She has said it for months. "Hooray." She is not saying it in the fun way, she says it when she really wants something.
Anytime I run the bath water, she assumes she is getting a bath and I usually have to end up throwing her in there.
She loves coloring with chalk and crayons. She throws fits when it is time to put it away.
Her favorite shows right now are:  Paw Patrol, Octonauts, and Bubble Guppies.
She has such an imagination. I love it. She is just growing up way too fast.
She knows all of her colors, and knows what a circle is. I would say her favorite foods are: quesadillas, hotdogs, and french fries. She loves Apple Juice & Milk. She never seems to drink Lemonade when we get it from restaurants which seems weird to me. She always tries to steal swigs of my Mountain Dew.
Lexi loves when her daddy comes home. The play and cuddle. Lastly, I am just so thankful for my girl. She makes my days busy. She makes my days fun. She makes my days frustrating. She definitely makes my days better though. She always makes me laugh. I couldn't ask for a better little Lexi.

Potty Training Attempt

So, you know how Facebook has that brilliant Timehop app? Its genius. I love looking back 1,2,3, or even seven years! Anyways. I was looking at todays, and it showed how I did a 30 day blog post challenge. I only did about 12 days, but I loved reading about those days. I should do it again. I was reading them and then I just kept reading further and further and eventually was reading about Lexi's birth! It made me realize how much I forgot. I am so glad I post even if no one reads them. I need to post more so I don't forget...because with two kids it's not easy to remember. I can't even remember what time Maya was born with out looking back. I know it was some where in the 11am hour. (and that was only 4 months ago)

Today: Oct. 16.2014
We tried potty training.
We put a diaper back on about 11 am.
(Right in time for Lexi to poop)
The night before we went out and let Lexi Lou pick out a potty and some panties. She picked out ones that had a "baby" (little doll like cartoon) on the package and was pretty upset when I opened it up and there was no "baby" inside. Between 8:30-11am Lexi only went to the bathroom twice. Once in the potty and once on the floor. She was starting to lose interest, so that's why we put a diaper back on. I told Broc I wasn't going to push potty training. I just wanted to see how ready she was. Man, it is A LOT of work. We spent the first half of the morning in her room playing. I set my timer for 15 min. When it would go off I would put Lexi on her potty and have her sit there for a bit. I would usually make her some pretend "nummys."
I also had her sit on a towel, because I wanted to clean up the least amount of pee as possible.

When she got sick of playing in her room we went down stairs. You better believe I took that potty with us. She sat on it while she watched cartoons and ate. We spent about an hour on and off the potty. Finally she asked to go play. I let her. I turned on my timer and then watched some Tv. While watching tv I hear her pee and say uh oh. So I rush her to the potty. Shortly after that she wanted a diaper back on. I was okay with that because I needed to fix lunch and she was getting sick of sitting on the potty every 15 minutes.
This photo makes me kinda sad. My Lexi looks so grown up and my four month old tries to sit up!

That was my day. I was kinda glad to call it quits because it is going to take a lot more dedication than I thought. I told my mother in law I just need to invent an injection that makes kids potty trained and then I will become rich.
Maybe I will work on that in my spare time.

Maya Quetzaly 4 month

Maya Quetzaly
This beauty is just over four months.

Maya loves:
-Eating
-Diaper Changes (she laughs every time)
-Baths
-Tito
-Her walker
-Sitting up
-Sucking fingers

Maya hates:
-Sleeping
 That is pretty much is.

What a great four months this chick has given us. Although, she did earn a new nick name.
Sour Patch
 First she is sour
Then she is oh so sweet.
She is amazing me with how well she can sit up. Lexi sat up pretty early too, but this girl is determined!

I wouldn't leave her by any means, but I bet by her 5 month post she will be sitting up!
That will make my days MUCH easier.
Then she will start crawling and then my life will be hard again!
 Maya battled her first sickness.
Croup and a double ear infection.
The only thing that seemed to get her though that rough week was swaddling.
After a day or two of antibiotics we were able to see her happy self again.
Lexi is such a sweet big sis.
She always runs to Maya when she crying. She loves playing with Maya while Maya is in her walker.

I am so glad that Maya is apart of our family.
Some days are rough
Some days consist of holding a baby all day
Some days consist of a baby sleeping all day
Some days involving multiple outfits
But at least everyday this girl gives me a smile and laugh.

Wednesday

Wednesdays.
This was almost a week ago so I hope I can remember everything. Wednesdays are pretty routine.
We have gymnastics at 9am
Then play group at the park.

Lexi is really starting to like Gymnastic class. It took her about 2 weeks to get used going and the routine of it. We love it. She has learned some cute things from it. Each week they get stamps on their feet. That might be her favorite part.
(We were trying to get a photo for daddy of the stamps)

Then after class we headed to the park with our friends.
These sisters melt my heart.

Lexi HATES when you swing her high.

Then after the park it was nap time.
I love nap time. Usually on these days, we all snuggle in my bed together. Maya is usually tired since she has been up all morning and Lex as well with all the activity.

After nap time, I broke out the chalk and let Lexi Lou color out side.

(Here she is making her baby race)

Then we had some play dough fun. The only thing she likes to make is a snake family.
 Finally daddy came home.
They happen to be matching this day in their purple strip shirts.

Last was bath time. Leix loves bath time. This was one bath she didn't take with out her sister. I think she loved having the whole tub to herself.

It usually feels like Tuesday and Wednesdays are really busy! Maybe this week I will do Thursday or Friday. I pretty tried after today. We hiked around  Dixie Rock with Broc's family and just spent the entire evening with his family since his Brother and Sister in law are in town. We are worn out though! I need to do a few more blog post so I can delete some photos off of my phone. Until then.
See ya!
